Keynesian Spirits

About

While inspired by a man primarily known for his work in economics, KeynesianSpirits offers readers a collection of the thoughts swirling inside the brain of a twenty-something economics student, who loves everything ranging from economics to cinema, politics to technology and more.

The title of the blog is based on Keynes’ idea of animal spirits: the idea that human emotions, such as optimism and pessimism about the future, are the fundamental forces that drive economic decisions (whether to buy or sell, invest or save money), and that it is these animal spirits that determine the ups and downs in economic activity, i.e. the business cycle.
